I have lived in this area since a child. The green area has been used by my family, friends and neighbours for years. For play, for neighbourhood activities, for dog walking - it's a valuable part of our community. Alot of this area has no or little garden space, especially when children, pets and community spirit are concerned this green space is a god send as it gives us the opportunity for exercise, celebrating nature, community cohesion, and socialisation and safety for children - they aren't at risk of being out of view or running into a busy road etc when playing on the local green.
