This area known as “The Delph” has been open ground for generations. After the development of Wycliffe Gardens was landscaped given a beautiful play area enjoyed by local children ever since. The area is conducive to families as the children can be observed by parents from the homes surrounding it ensuring they are safe. I myself played football there and sledged in winter. It’s a valuable community resource which shouldn’t be lost and limit the outdoor play of children, particularly in these dark days of lockdown
