Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 1339

Received: 12/03/2021

Respondent: Ms Mel Frances

Representation Summary:

I object to green land being destroyed for housing. There are mature trees whose benefits would take years to reconstruct elsewhere in some kind of offsetting way, improving air quality and providing shelter for wildlife.
The site is close to the River Aire which many people are trying to improve and hosts a multitude of wildlife such as otters, king fishers etc and the reintroduction of salmon and trout.
Pasture land itself can include important and sometimes rare species of wildflowers and grasses which provide food and habitat for insects etc.
