Local residents can attest to the frequency of these flood events. With climate change a real threat it seems inappropriate to build on Greenbelt land that is currently acting as a natural defence. This proposal puts in jeopardy Bradford Council Strategic Core Policies1 (SC1) Overall approach and Key Spatial Priorities which states in point 9 “Avoid increasing flood risk”.
