this green space is close to a range of terrace houses and flats, these properties do not have gardens and this is the closest green space for familes and individuals to sit, play or relax.

Familes with children over the age of approx 7 can allow them to play on this area in the confidence that the site is close to their own homes and the children are safe. The play area on Baker Street is too far for children on their own to go and there is a busy road to cross. The busy road scenerio also applies to Northcliffe park and Hirstwood are too far for children to travel to on their own.
