Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 2065

Received: 18/03/2021

Respondent: Mr Katrina Paget

Representation Summary:

The development of this site for residential purposes is not considered to be a suitable, available or deliverable option on the grounds of land ownership, access, housing need and Green Belt considerations and I strongly object to the proposals for any residential development on the site. There is a very recent (2001) restriction on title constraining the subject site to use as grazing land in favour of all 185 owners on the Scalebor Estate, there is no viable access solution and the site meets 3 of the 5 Green Belt criteria with no exceptional circumstances for Green Belt release.

As a local resident on the Scalebor estate whose house is adjacent to where access would be proposed the idea is nonsensical. Ron Lawton Crescent is already virtually impassable often due to parking issues. Further housing using this same access would lead to enormous loss of amenity and huge safety concerns.
