Representation ID: 2218

Received: 19/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Karen Hunt

Representation Summary:

Loss ofmeadows, hedgerows, trees
Loss of agricultural land.

Loss of natural views.
Detrimental impact on nearby residential amenity, loss of privacy, loss of daylight
Lack of infrastructure - transport links (including public transport, walking and cycling), drainage, educational, medical, dental etc.
Ground stability and drainage (including heightened flood risk). The fields & trees soak up water and mitigate flooding.
Inability to cope with traffic volumes, linking as well to highway safety, added air pollution caused by vehicular traffic - especially in relation to larger housing developments of over 100 units. This has a potential 189 houses this side of the A650 ((and also 164 off Glenview Road on the other side (SH4/H)), it will become increasingly difficult to exit and enter Branksome Drive. The likelihood of traffic from the new developments using Branksome Grove/Drive as an exit/entrance will make an already narrow difficult road and a risky junction even worse!
