Many of the homes around this area don't have gardens and to take this much needed green space away would, in my opinion, be an absolutely devastating blow to many people, adults and children alike. We need green spaces for our mental health. I grew up in one of those houses so know from experience just how necessary this land is, without it my siblings and friends would have had nowhere to play football or ride our bikes safely away from traffic.
