Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 2327

Received: 19/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Val Pelleschi

Representation Summary:

*Effective doubling of traffic flow out of Branksome area & onto Bingley Rd which already has 'jams' at key times
*Access road is quite narrow.
*Definitely be decrease of air quality , as noted .in the commentary
*All amenities are at a distance -would involve more traffic to access. Unpleasant to walk along the mainroad which is the quickest route on foot.
*Significant Greenbelt location, visible from many vantage points. Sad loss of grazing land which adds to the character of the location which is within the WHS buffer zone
*There is already considerable noise & air pollution from the bypass- not an ideal place for homes.
*Will exacerbate already serious flooding issues on the existing adjacent estate & will increase surface water runoff.
*Likely loss of trees & habitats for various species
*Unwelcome encroachment in a well used walking area.
