The proposed development would take away further green space from the village which supports wildlife and enables grazing for horses and other livestock.
The area already has traffic and parking pressures from the Worth Valley railway and school and this would no doubt increase substantially if development went ahead.
Snow clearance is very often not provided in Cross Lane as a priority making obtaining access difficult at times. With increased residency this could mean that some residents many of which are elderly could not gain access in bad weather conditions.
