Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 2557

Received: 20/03/2021

Respondent: Mr Richard Golding

Representation Summary:

OBJECTION: This location is totally unsuitable for 20 units of housing primarily due to its close proximity to the Skipton Road which is heavily congested particularly as this point and hazardous due to a dangerous bend in the road. The addition of up to 40 vehicles(2 per household) access from and to the new development directly onto the Skipton Road with its heavy domestic and trunk route heavy traffic will inevitably result in accidents on this already overloaded stretch of road.
In addition developments here and other parts of Ilkley on the scale planned will put additional strain on the town and already capacity schooling both Primary and Secondary.
There is no clue as to what type of housing this will be, without this detail how can housing planning possibly be approved?
