Our objections to the proposal relate to
•Building on Green Belt land, especially as the planners themselves acknowledge that “there is no opportunity to create a stronger Green Belt boundary than the existing boundary”
•Building homes under a high voltage electricity transmission line which runs right through the proposed site.
•The lack of amenities both in the immediate neighbourhood and in East Morton village – only one community shop (run by volunteers), no health or leisure facilities.
•Pressure on the one local school – East Morton Primary School, which is already oversubscribed in some classes.
•Poor public transport links.
