I have grave concerns about the redesignation of Idle Moor from a Green Corridor. This space is an essential green space, providing oxygen for a large urban area, habitats for wildlife and open space which is used daily by children, families, dog walkers, pensioners, all greatly benefiting from the physical and mental health benefits of a local green space.
The change of designation seems to leave open the possibility of building on this Green Corridor, which would be devastating in the short term, and with our planet’s climate emergency, unforgivable in the long term.
