I object to:
1. The proposed housing target of 625 units; and
2. The proposed allocation of land ref BU2/H for residential development.
The proposed housing allocation of 625 units (representing an increase of almost 25% on current housing numbers) is disproportionate in the context of the existing size and status of the village.
The 500 new houses for which planning permission has recently been granted in relation to the village’s Sun Lane site are sufficient and there is therefore no need to allocate further sites for development.
Furthermore, the specific site BU2/H is not suitable for development on the grounds of:
• Greenbelt considerations
• Access issues
• restrictive covenants
The proposed allocation for site BU2/H is neither suitable, available nor deliverable.

The CBMDC has already considered the site and has assessed it as unsuitable for development.
