Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 3184

Received: 22/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Marya Mahony

Representation Summary:

I object because there would be a loss of green space, road traffic will cause danger to walking residents, disabled and children. Lack of school provision, doctor surgeries actually no longer near to this area so an increased need for public and personal transport. The planned housing offers very little space for parking or walking on the planned estate so how are people expected to get to the already poor shopping and educational provision? There would be an increase of already high traffic pollution (on Tong Street). Ground pollution at danger level on proposed site. The already lack of amenities has been identified in the Council documentation and this will cause yet further distress. The fact that COVID has, and still is, very high in this area is we now know directly related to poor housing and local facilities. It is shameful that this Council refuses to support local needs.
