Respondent: Ms Jo Reynard

Representation Summary:

Flooding is a risk to the local area and school ·as happened in January 2020 The Environment Agency surface water flood mapping clearly shows three channels that run nearby the school:
o Cottingley Beck to the north – an established stream.
o A first unnamed stream that runs towards the school and then diverts towards...
A second unnamed-stream that runs along the eastern edge of the school.
· The first unnamed-stream is the source of the flooding.
· This stream flows in a partially culverted, partially open channel through the woods to the south-west of the school.
· When this stream ‘outfalls’ on the school boundary its having to make a right angle turn to the south-east and draining into the second unnamed stream.
· This outfall is flooding and resulting in the water finding new, lines of less resistance to flow through including onto the highway and school site
