(Local Plan Team – Comments relate to Support for Idle Moor as greenspace as currently proposed with specific comments below by user)
The traffic up Green Lane has increased significantly, containing to build on Idle Moor will only continue to create significant environmental impacts beyond the loss of Green spaces.

Having these Green spaces are essential for a good balanced environment and ensuring that parts of Idle Moor remain for wild animals is so important. I have recently seen Red Kites hunting in this area as well as seeing other birds of prey including owls and sparrow hawks. If we remove their hunting grounds we remove their ability to thrive and grow. We also have many other wild animals, birds and insects living in this area.

Developers have already cut down brushland which is essential nesting habitat; I am particularly concerned about the brush and trees that are left as we move into nesting season; disturbing nesting birds is illegal and a whole generation of birds could be lost!
