Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 4439

Received: 23/03/2021

Respondent: Miss Lisa Shaw

Representation Summary:

There are other local brownfield area's within the shipley area which would be more suitable to build on than the marchcote lane development
I believe by building on the greenbelt will impact on flooding on Marchcote Lane, some gardens which back onto the fields already flood, so by removing the fields will mean potential flooding to the houses and beyond
Removing greenbelt views from people on Marchcote lane would severely impact on the current residents
Impact on local wildlife within the area
increase traffic in the area and congestion, it is already very difficult to drive down Coppy Close which is currently 2 way traffic, having additional traffic and other traffic cutting through the estate would severely impact Marchcote Lane, danger to children and additional pollution.
