We live in March Cote Lane area and and we see first hand the amount of water that firstly runs down this field causing pooling. We see our gardens flooded already in heavy rain because the ground cannot cope. You don't need to go down far to hit solid clay as we saw when our extension was built. Cars are already parked on kerbs and pavements because the roads are narrow. It has already been documented that Cottingley has a higher than average car ownership before you even start considering the extra traffic this development will bring. With one road in and out of the village it will become a nightmare. schools are already full. This proposal is only going to benefit those who will gain financially - namely the developer, certainly not this village.
