Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 4609

Received: 23/03/2021

Respondent: Mr Antony Hills

Representation Summary:

This is a worrying example of further desecration of pristine green belt land. Aside for the obvious general objections regarding destroying natural environments and habitats ( deer, bats and owls as examples are seen there) and the short and long term effects this will have on wildlife, the ecosystem and climate change, this area cannot support such a massive development. The local road is already dangerous, producing an unhealthy mix of numerous cars using a narrow road, and many young children walking to local schools on narrow adjacent pavements. Pollution will increase. The roads into Scalebor cannot sensibly accommodate hundreds more car journeys per day. Sight lines are poor for the proposed entrance. There is already congestion in the mornings at the rail station and Langford Lane at peak times when schools are opening. Trains are already overcrowded so residents use cars. This Is a dangerous and damaging proposal.
