Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 4785

Received: 24/03/2021

Respondent: Miss Louise Holmes

Representation Summary:

We need to keep the fields on idle moor as green open space. In lockdown they have been a lifeline to those who live nearby and dog walkers as a source of exercise and wellbeing. The area is already over developed, with no schools and too much traffic (especially in the snow). Need to extend the green infrastructure corridor to include idle moor not just for the residents of bradford who have now very little open space locally to enjoy but also for the wildlife who are having their habitats destroyed. Land should be used to plant trees - as Bradford council keep saying on country file that they’re a green council who cares, yet this clearly isn’t the case when all our green open space nearby is used for building new houses that the area can’t cope with. Green open space is what the people of Bradford need.
