Draft Bradford District Local Plan - Preferred Options (Regulation 18) February 2021

Representation ID: 5194

Received: 24/03/2021

Respondent: Mr Richard Ambrose

Representation Summary:

I strongly object to the proposed housing development due to
-inability to cope with the increased traffic volume especially at school times.
-danger to children from increased traffic and lack of parking near the schools
-increase of pollution. Non compliance with council policy of zero carbon future, the new homes and cars will increase carbon.
-ground stability and drainage. Heightened flood risk. The current fields soak up a lot of the rainwater but we still regularly get flooding in gardens, properties and the road on Marchcote Lane from the fields and underground culverts. This will be made worse by the proposed development.
-lack of infrastructure, insufficient school places, transport, Drs etc
-loss of greenbelt and natural wildlife habitat.
-loss of beautiful views
