I live in the development south of the proposed site and I strongly object to the proposed development! The local road infrastructure is creaking as a result of developments both north of the proposed site and in adjacent wards. Harrogate Road from Greengates junction to the Canal Bridge is a death trap! When turning both into and out of Providence Avenue, you take your life and those of your passengers in your own hands! Another c100 cars (2 per house) will only exacerbate the safety issues we face on a day to day basis. The new traffic island adjacent to Providence Avenue is a joke. Cars, vans and lorries regularly overtake on the wrong side of the road starting from the canal bridge up towards Greengates! In addition, the proposed site is home to rousting bats and a fox den so damage to the local eco system will also ensue!
