Respondent: Mr Michael Walsh

Representation Summary:

We oppose the building of houses for the following..
Loss of natural view, loss of open walking area, too much traffic, more pollution, threat to wildlife,
Use brown belt sites instead and regenerate empty properties
Are the new houses affordable to people in this area
Are schools and local amenities suitable to cope with extra families in this already populated area
New houses would split public footpaths spoiling the area
Branksome Drive to be the access point for traffic, not wide enough and not able to cope with the high volume of extra traffic, especially at peak times
The fields surrounding Branksome have poor drainage
If the Bradford district is to offer 1200 new houses, why are the majority going in this area alone
We think the area is completely unsuitable for the amount of new properties proposed
