Increased traffic and pollution in the area. More accidents as more traffic. It is more dangerous as the area does not have much traffic at the moment the housing project will create more traffic.

Increased flood damage to existing properties

It is endangering wildlife and destroying the habitats of plants and animal. This will negatively affect the population of wild birds that are all ready severely threatened.
Loss of British wildlife

The field and some trees protects against flooding as it absorbs a lot of surface water.
