Representation ID: 872

Received: 07/03/2021

Respondent: Mr Martin Francis Holdsworth

Representation Summary:

Agriculture use should be preserved. No more housing needed. 155 houses huge increase in cars/traffic. Loss of large area of green belt which detrimental to health. Access points dangerous to residents, other cars & children. Pollution not a health benefit. Schools full. Pupils from all over taking places and causing traffic congestion. Major loss of diminishing green belt. Large danger of flooding to existing properties and great damage to beck, areas adjacent to it and housing/buildings abutting same. Wholesale development without regard to the environment and to the historic nature of Cottingley village and the land itself. The ruination of March Cote Lane. This area currently is the home to lots of wildlife deer and dippers to name but a few but their habitat is being destroyed by the council's disregard for their wellbeing and that of the community. Stop this development now.
