- There is only one exit out of Cottingley which is busy normally and it become very at peak times; In Adding 155 dwellings and associated cars will make traffic worse. This will impact both (the families who live in Cottingley and commuters) who are using Cottingley New Rd.
- The local GP already struggles to provide timely appointments; C01/H will increase demand and make it worse.
- There is already a waiting list for the local Primary school; C01/H plans plus other plans (SH4/M, SH5/M and SH6/M) will add to the burden on this school and mean that families in the area may not find places for their children.
- The fields provide absorbent land to take away water and reduce chance of flooding in the area .
- Many rare birds who live in this area will be detrimentally impacted as they lose the their usual living place.
