Representation ID: 9868

Received: 16/03/2021

Respondent: Mrs Diane & Nicholas Fowler

Representation Summary:

Object to the plan to build 24 houses off Cross Lane.

Our Bungalow was only allowed to be one storey - not to block neighbours views.
Flood impact - high chance of flooding from the beck,
surface water collects in garden and run down from Crossfield road, flood potential is sensitive to any development.
Impact on wildlife, foxes , badgers , ducks , moor hens , pheasant and the deer use our garden and the field, should not be disturbed by building works.

Site designated village greenspace.

Impact Local services - Co-op (parking a struggle), school (will it support more families), medical service oversubscribed. The community not well serviced

Pollution/air quality concerns

Worth Valley Railway must be preserved and the Conservation area remain untouched.

I am concerned that land designated as green belt or green space gets its use reassigned as the council chooses.

Detrimental to the quality of our lives.
