Shocked to see plans which will take away the beautiful environment in Tong/Fulneck.

Area is well used by people for recreation.

Place has become a lifeline for the community. Removing it will impact the wildlife. Will definitely be a severe impact to people’s mental wellbeing.

It’s a habitat for all types of wildlife. Why take away a green space rich in wildlife and replace it with houses/industrial buildings?

With all the technology at our disposal, do not believe there is not a better way to achieve outcomes by building a new road

There are plenty of places, classed as brown belt land that could be turning into housing. If houses are really need people will anywhere.

Would be ripping up trees, destroying wildlife and production thousands of tonnes of emissions. Goes national and local policy.

Can’t say there is no other non-Green Belt land ripe for development. Oppose all plans.

Object to Local Plan proposals in relation to sites in Bradford South East. Concerned about the impact on Tong & Fulneck Valley.

Cannot be discounted that developing these Green Belt/green fields sites and promoting a travel corridor alongside, is detrimental to any consideration of what these green spaces and village setting of Tong offer to Bradford and Leeds residents.

May be argued that the erosion in this instance is not major, the direction of travel is clear. From the perspective of Fulneck/Pudsey, the creep of development down from the top of Westgate Hill over past time is plain to see.

Further development would demonstrate a disregard and careless abandonment of a broad and elevated green vista when seen from western Leeds, and for Bradford residents a loss of greenfield areas with all that involves in terms of degrading biodiversity and overall ecology of the area.

Bradford are not carrying out duty to co-operate on plans that directly will affect our area. The plans for 1,000 new houses and employment zone without any discussion on the impact to infrastructure, impact on our air quality zone and impacts on the battlefield and Tong Moor Local Nature Reserve.

The battlefield relates to the Battle of Adwalton Moor with the Westgate Hill area being part of the routes of the armies, Hodgson Lane which runs from Station Lane/Cross Lane down to the A58. Your plans seem to completely ignore the importance of the historic battlefield.

Your plan discusses changes to Tong Street and a link road but in relation to Holme Wood. It does not clearly present information of the impact of these highway changes on the Westgate Hill area.

Loss of greenbelt.

No consideration for settlement buffer zones.

Impacts on Highways, vehicles use Birkenshaw/East Bierley as cuts through between Tong Street and J26 of the M62 which under these plans will increase. There will be impact on traffic levels on J27 as well as impact on roads around Birstall.

Two primary schools would be directly impacted by an increase in traffic.
