The valley is very precious to a lot of people, a great place to have fun! Please do not take that away from everyone.

SEBAR
1. Green belt - exceptional circumstances not demonstrated. No appreciation of cultural, recreational, environmental aspects.
2. Out of date housing numbers - no consideration of the effects of pandemic and Brexit. The 2021 census should inform the Plan.
3. SEBAR - no information nor evaluation of the impact of this road - inconsistent with Council’s declaration of a climate emergency. Concern the road will release further development sites, increase air pollution and traffic.
4. Health / Wellbeing - area provides green lung and is used for walking, running, cycling.
5. Wildlife – biodiverse area home to hundreds of threatened species. No real assessment of the impact on the environment, especially ancient woodland at Black Carr and Kit Woods.
6. Flood risk - large scale building at the top of the Valley will lead to flooding at the bottom as in February 2020 and 2021. Proper flood risk assessment vital.
