Personally I dont think this is good for like with gardens I have lived here for over 10 years now And I know how much people enjoy the space upon the field on summer days snowy days And I think that this should not happen And I think that this should not happen I strongly agree I will not be happy if this goes to plan

- This is crucial green space sandwiched between 2 very busy and polluting roads. It is important for:
> Cleaner air
> Safe space for local children to play away from the busy roads.
> Safe habitat for local wildlife away from the busy roads.
- This area is already built up with flats and this green space provides quality communal space for those living in flats without gardens.

This space is valued as recreational space for children and for exercise. There is very little green space between Saltaire and Shipley and the Park Street Recreation Ground has been taken over by Shipley Town FC and is often unavailable due to matches, training and an irritating obsession with cutting the grass. Furthermore we know that Shipley has a problem with air pollution. This space should be developed further as a community green space to help combat this rather than adding to the problem with increased emissions from more local traffic. Can we not try and make Shipley better for it's current residents?

Children are always on the field playing games or with friends sat on the field in summer, winter is just as fun when it snows everybody is out sledging down the hill. The Children are always playing out later in summertime on the field it's great to watch. I want to keep the field as it is that's why I object to the build.

This is valued open space used by the whole community. Government and local policies show that recreation open space like this is supposed to be protected.
Children regularly play here and would have nowhere else to play.
Many dwellings in the neighbourhood have no gardens.
It's used for sport/exercise.
It’s used for dog walking
Green space helps protect us against local air pollution problems.
People travel via the green to work, or to the local nurseries and schools.
The area has already been shown to be deprived of green space.
It was landscaped for recreation in the 1960s and is needed now just the same.
Generations of families have used this space and we need to protect it for future generations.
Why destroy the play/recreation space of this and future generations for the sake of meeting only 5% of the Shipley ‘quota’ of new housing?

I am concerned about the loss of green space in the Shipley area. I am also concerned about a lack of infrastructure planning to accompany this additional building - what about more GPs, dentists, schools places etc

The proposed site is the only communal open green space in an already densely developed area and is currently used for recreation by the community and has for a long time. There are families with children who have no access to gardens who rely that space as a safe place for them to play. The surrounding roads are already heavily congested and adding more housing in such a small area will not only add to the problem but will contribute negatively to air pollution. Important views to WHS Salts mill will be lost to the local community and the existing properties will suffer from loss of light, being overlooked, and loss of privacy. Given the scale of the proposed development, a new green space within the site would be insufficient given the space we benefit from now, and that should not be taken away from an already deprived area.

We moved to the area (SH3/H) because of the local green space as we thought that would provide a good family environment and do not want to lose that. There are few open areas like this where children can play and Wycliffe is crucial for wellbeing, play and social activities. This is especially important for families, dog owners, those without transport, and older and less mobile people as most local houses only have small yards. Especially during COVID, such spaces are a known vital community and health resource. Government and local policies clearly show that recreation open space like this is supposed to be protected, and this is a local area which is already lacking in open green spaces. When planning, green spaces will be just as key for new houses as the ones already here - building here would be a detriment to current and future community members.

Building on this green land will deprive the residents in weaverscroft of their green space together with light and air. It is close to an electricity sub station as brought up in my survey. The noise and building works will disrupt the peace that we value and we will worry that building on this land will have a devasating effect on the value of ourproperties. I therefore object yo your application.

-Impact on view.
-The construction noise will be very upsetting for us to deal with.
-Access to the site is a concern as the side road between the houses and the shops is very narrow.
-We love to see children playing on the field, having picnics in the summer and sledging in the winter. There is very little green space left in Shipley and you should not allow this application.

I object to these plans as the area is already very crowded and it is an important green area for the community. I am also concerned that the extra traffic and cars in the area will cause further air pollution in an area that already has very poor air quality.

This green area is used by so many of us every day and during the various lockdowns in the past year older people have been able to exercise while staying safely close to home. Children play safely within sight of parents, dog owners can walk their dogs, and it makes us all feel better when we look out onto an open, green expanse and can see parts of Saltaire, Baildon, Shipley Glen. It is important for our physical and mental well-being to keep this area green and building free.

I think it would be a real shame, particularly for the many families with young children who live in the area, if the decision is taken to build on one of the few green spaces left in Shipley, one that is used by local residents throughout the year. During the pandemic it has been a readily accessible and attractive place for people to get exercise and fresh air. Shipley is already a heavily built-up area with few green spaces where people can seek respite.

There are a number of terraced houses and flats n the surrounding area with very little garden and the roads are not safe for children to play. This large open space is important for families to exercise and play, there is nowhere else in the vicinity which is safe to do so and the loss would have a negative impact on health and childhood for many families in the area. We use the fields regularly all year round.

I wish to object in the strongest possible terms. This proposal is totally outrageous WE NEED, USE AND VAULUE OUR GREEN SPACE!
There is NO justification to build 44 new houses here and to destroy one of few green outside places we have left within our local community
Furthermore, this is treading on old ground when plans were already turned down before to turn this space into a car park for in-communities the owners of this space and they are quite simply trying to cash in at the totally expense of local community that already exists and its needs.
