My children play there.
Better for the environment as not many green area where I live which is very close to these fields.
Blocking views, less privacy, noise and car pollution.
There are many factors and all of this area will be again at it.
Please do not go ahead with this

The view from our house is over the greens it’s one of the main factors too why we chose this area too live. Please save our greens. Also it’s a great space for all the local birds too feed and nest in the trees. I regularly watch and fed the birds from our window

I would like to object to this planning as the build will remove the beneficial green space that will consequently be removed. Green space have been used to improve environmental conditions, promote outdoor activities and active life- styles, increase social interaction and exchange, and provide healthy urban conditions for good physical and mental well-being. Children use this space for outdoor activities and so do adults. It is beneficial for the environment and for us.

this area is used by children to play and is a safe area where parents can keep an eye on them and is also used by several pensioners for exercise it will also impact on the views from our apartments. it will also have adverse effects on the amount of traffic which is already congested up and down Kirkgate road and through Wycliffe gardens and onto Saltaire road.

This green area is surrounded by lots of houses with younger families that use the area on a daily basis. In the summer its used for play/family picnics sometime into Early evening weather permitting. This year its been a fantastic area for the kids with the snow and there is nothing other than this area local for the families...

This is a heavily used green space utilised by dog walkers and for exercise. Building upon this land will not only deprive local people of a green space they've been using for decades but will also increase traffic on nearby Kirkgate with a resulting increase to air pollution. Many homes in the area around Wycliffe Road do not have a garden and this green space is consequently used as a spot to relax, meet up with neighbours and as a picnic area. Losing this area to housing would deprive the local population of a valued green space and increase congestion on neighbouring roads.

It is totally unnecessary. This field is used by kids to play and these monstrous new builds would ruin a truly beautiful view of the mill. Please do not do this. I have recently moved here for the natural beauty and old town vibes. Do not ruin this with horrible tacky new build houses

Wycliffe Road green space is used by most everyone in the area , children playing to elderly doing their step walking ,dog walkers, picnickers,,snowman builders, kids on sledges football, kids cricket...lying on the grass, could go on forever...two busy main roads top and bottom of Wycliffe and nearest parks one in Baildon, over the river and one at northcliffe which is a bit of a trek...there is not much green space in this area of shipley and what we do have we need to preserve...it may not be classed as flood plain ...but it does soak up a lot of the rainfall in the area..which is more than block paving or tarmac can do.
Wycliffe road is already a VERY BUSY road and bus route frequently congested and I'm sure this will only get worse with the additional new housing...
I really think we need to preserve this space for future generations

It's a greenfield site. Plenty of brownfield sites not being used in the area which could be built on. It provides a place for children to play and people to exercise etc in a built up area where many have no gardens. We are in a climate emergency and we need to protect green spaces.

Already to many houses in the area and not enough grass land for dog walkers and the likes.
Is set agaist counsil housing and they have a bad reputation and doesn't need the bar lowering even further.
Work will be disruptive and drawn out given the location and assess to the location not to mention the current pandemic that isn't going away any time soon.
No where does it mention that the work will be done by local firms so it won't effect the people who currently need investing in due to the pandemic.
This will negitivly effect the view from a number of propties and thus drasticly lower their expected value for reselling (in an already damaged market)

My children play on this space and enjoy playing ball sports all year round and sledging in the winter. It is lovely to have a green space so close and is a pleasant green space to sit out in the summer also. It is very close to the house so they do nog have far to go to get to an area they can play in

This is a well used green space for the local community including at Saltaire festival time.
It also seems to be a very small space for 44 houses. This would make the area overcrowded and with each house would probably come with one or two car users, thereby contributing to air pollution and the general congestion of the area.
Demand on schools and other services would also rise.
I cannot see any positive reason why this should be granted.

Green space is important for a positive environment and this area is used for recreation by local people .The council should support housing development within existing sites e.g demolition/ renovation of poor quality housing e.g flats on Valley road .
The proposed development would be quite dense in a small area with little garden space .

I see this land as a great space for the community to meet up, the kids to play ( especially when it snows) and families to have picnics. At the bottom of the hill there are flats hence no gardens so this is an ideal space for as mentioned above.

Its a valueable green space used by the community.
There are plenty of brownfield sites in the area that could / should be developed first.
Vehicle access for that many new residents - particularly given its hilly nature is likely to be disruptive to existing residents.

This proposed site is where a number of people from low socioeconomic backgrounds have built up a community through friendships. The area backs onto an estate where there are not many open outdoor spaces. For children living here they rely on this green space for their social development and a connection with the outdoors. There are many family’s who are deprived and this simple green field can provide hours of entertainment be it for football, kite flying or general “playing out”. Building houses on this land would cause a huge detriment to the landscape although it is not in a green belt it is a section of land which remains grass covered and Shipley is losing open green spaces like this. The site is also near a WHS therefore the view would be negatively affected and spoilt for those who have enjoyed the view of the historic village Saltaire.

I strongly object to the proposal to build on the green space at Wycliffe road. This space is invaluable to the residents in the immediate area many of whom live in flats with no gardens. There are many families that use the space and the loss of this would have a detrimental impact on the mental and physical health and well being of people who use this facility. In addition, building on the land would result in more congestion in an area which is already polluted, being close to major roads and there would be an increase in parked cars which would impact on the safety of pedestrians. The green space is a much needed haven for wildlife and this should be protected.

We should be increasing the green spaces in the area - not building on the few that we have. We regularly walk on this green space, including with our dog and it would be missed. Walking on this green space helps with our well being. We also use the Park Street playing field a lot but are concerned that the removal of the Wycliffe green space will make Park Street playing field even busier than it is already.
