Appendix 12 Household Waste Requirements

The purpose of this Appendix is to provide guidance on the levels of waste storage required for different types of homes in support of Policy HO8 Housing Design Standards (E. Bin Storage).

Collection frequencies:

General waste – every alternate week
Recycling waste – every alternate week
Food waste – weekly
Garden waste – as advertised at point of subscription

* Garden waste collection is an optional, chargeable service. Proposals should ensure enough storage space is provided to enable households to take up this service.
